Part of the Singapore International Energy Week 27 October - 4 November 2010 The annual Singapore International Energy Week (SIEW) is the leading energy conference which gathers policymakers, business leaders and academics to share ideas, establish new networks and shape up global and industry energy agendas. This year the SIEW included a comprehensive schedule of clean energy-focused conferences, exhibitions and networking sessions. EuroCham successfully participated in 2009 with a European Pavilion and a Business Forum. The European Pavilion hosted several European Companies. The Business Forum - Three Futures in Sourcing Clean Energy, saw 3 speakers that covered different industries: solar energy, biodiesel andnuclear. Attendance was very good and also the Q&A session very interesting. In 2010 the event will be held in a bigger venue and will attract a larger audience. Given the role of that Europe has when dealing with climate change, sustainability and renewable energies and the success of the event in 2009, we believe that our presence will be vital. We are optimistic on the outcome of the Copenhagen Summit and decisions taken will definitely affect participation in next year’s SIEW.
