EU-Singapore Business to Business Cooperation Project

Since January 2009 EuroCham Singapore is conducting an EU-Singapore B2B Cooperation Project for a period of 36 months. The aim of the project is to improve the competitiveness of European companies in Singapore and the region and to facilitate market access for European companies.

EuroCham will conduct and enhance B2B Cooperation activities between EU and Singapore/ASEAN companies by covering more than 30 different activities. A lot of the activities will have an ASEAN focus. The programme will facilitate the cooperation between European and Singapore/ASEAN firms.

Overview of EU-ASEAN Trade & Investment Cooperation

Market entry and expansion programmes in the EU-ASEAN trade and investment cooperation module will educate Europeans about the ASEAN market and provide important inside knowledge on how to best enter or expand in this market. More Europeans will enter this competitive market. Commencing business activities will be alleviated and accelerated.
Outreach activities will provide visible platforms for EU firms in Singapore to connect to the local business scene and will result in a number of concrete business contracts being signed. Seminars on specific industries and functions will level the playing field between EU and ASEAN companies by jointly discussing issues and educating each other about points of views and ways of business administration in the EU and ASEAN respectively. Ways of countering IPR infringements for example will be clearly shown.

Overview of Knowledge and information pool for EU and ASEAN companies

The information pool will provide EU and ASEAN firms to get bundled first class information on market strategy and entry, country information and business contacts. This will allow participating parties to increase their business activities in the regions.

Overview of EU profile raising and promotion activities

The EU promotion activities will bring together students with European companies and therefore help to find the best talent on the local labour market for EU firms. They will also connect the local political and public society scene with European companies and thus help to establish positive connections to EU enterprises and the European Union as such.
